Cliff MacKenzie was born in Fort Worth, Texas and grew up in Texas before moving to Alabama to complete high school. Following high school, Cliff returned to Texas and attended Texas A&M University, graduating with a degree in Political Science. Cliff was was commissioned as an Armor lieutenant in the US Army at graduation and spent the next seven years serving as an Armor/Cavalry officer in assignments around the world. Following his military service, Cliff returned to Fort Worth to attend law school, where he completed several clerkships and served as an editor of the Law Review. Following graduation from law school and passing the Texas bar exam, Cliff worked as an associate attorney for Waters & Kraus, LLP in Dallas, where he represented plaintiffs in toxic tort litigation throughout the United States and Texas. Cliff established his own law practice in Fort Worth in 2005 and has served clients in the area ever since. In 2016, Cliff accepted a position as an adjunct professor at TCU, and has taught Business Law in the Neeley School of Business since that time. In his spare time, Cliff enjoys travelling with his wife, sailing the "Monkfish" on Eagle Mountain Lake, golfing with his sons, working on British cars, and reading and collecting books.
